JUNIOR CAD TECHNICIAN

NEAR WARMINSTER, WILTSHIRE

Due to ongoing success and company expansion, my client are looking to add to their skilled design team with the addition of a Junior CAD Technician looking to develop a career within Design Engineering, you need to be able to use AutoCAD already, but they will put you through a training program to teach you about their products and processes.

We are looking for an ambitious individual, who has experience using AutoCAD, either professionally or as part of their education. If you’re a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on a variety of projects, serving clients in the Sports, Musical and Film and Military sectors.

THE ROLE:

• Producing Sales & Project Schemes with the team, finding design based solutions to satisfy customer requirements within fixed timescales.
• Create detailed 2d drawings required by the Sales and Projects teams within set timeframes to a high level of quality and accuracy.
• Ensure measurements are correct so that all of the components fit together in the space set out in the project specification.
• Take responsibility for own personal development, opportunities to progress into fully fledged CAD Engineer role (which is why this role is available).
• Liaise with Sales and Projects Managers to provide the required information to assist in the advancement of projects, also communicating any tweaks to architectural/client requirements.
• Ensure that the drawings within your control adhere to the relevant design standards and meet Health & Safety requirements, this might include interpreting drawings produced by Architects.

THE PERSON:

• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines without errors.
• Proven team player who is willing to contribute effectively.
