Job summary

A reputable engineering design consultancy is seeking a motivated Junior CAD Technician to join their team in Swansea. The position involves providing CAD support, creating 3D models and 2D drawings across various industries. Candidates must have a minimum of ONC/HNC education, 2+ years of experience with 3D AutoCAD, and strong communication skills. This is a permanent position offering a salary of £28k - £34k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the British, EN & ANSI standards is important.

Overview

Junior CAD Technician. Salary: £28 - £34k, depending on experience. Location: Swansea. Duration: Permanent Position. A reputable, Swansea based Engineering Design Consultancy are looking to recruit a Junior CAD Technician for their growing design office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated CAD Technician to join an experienced engineering team. The ideal candidate will have some Mechanical, Piping and/or Steelwork 3D CAD Modelling experience.

Responsibilities

• You will form part of a close-knit team providing CAD support to senior designers, creating 3D Models & 2D detailed drawings for a variety of industries including Oil & Gas, Water & Sewage, Heavy Engineering and Process Plant. Most projects generally include a combination of bespoke process piping and associated structural steel including piping supports and access platforming etc.
• You will assist with visits, surveys and 3D Scanning on numerous industrial sites.

Requirements

• ONC/HNC level of education as a minimum.
• 2+ years\' min. experience working with 3D AutoCAD/Plant Design Software.
• Some experience of Intergraph Cadworx Plant 3D, Autocad Advanced Steel and Revit would be a distinct advantage.
• Some basic knowledge of Pipework and/or Structural Steel design and construction drawings.
• Knowledge and awareness of British, EN & ANSI standards (Piping & Steelwork).
• Good communication, numeracy and IT skills.
