A growing family business in Bedford is seeking a Junior CAD Operator to produce 3D models using CAD software and assist with quality improvements. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in design or engineering, possess some CAD experience, and be willing to learn. This role includes training and offers a starting salary of £27,000 along with 29 days of holiday, including Bank Holidays.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Junior CAD Operator.

Established in 1994, Dunster House Ltd is a growing family run, international business currently employing over 500 people across our 14 UK sites.

With over 30 years of designing, manufacturing and retailing garden lifestyle products, we are proud to be garden building specialists and distribute our products to our customers on our own fleet of vehicles.

This job is based out of our Bedford site, MK41 0LF.

Job Includes:

  • Producing CAD models in 3D parametric software
  • Familiarising oneself with Autodesk Inventor and Vault (if needed)
  • Checking instructions and producing reports on how to improve the quality of our product and simplifying the assembly part for the customer
  • Assisting with product problems and assisting with solutions
  • Use of universal components across wider range of products
  • Carry out all other requests from management on an adhoc or regular basis as required
  • Normal hours of work are Monday – Friday 08.30 – 17.00
  • Training will be provided

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification relating to design or engineering.
  • Some CAD experience (Autodesk Inventor / SolidWorks, or a similar parametric design packages)
  • Be methodical and creative
  • Willing to learn and develop new skills
  • Right to work in the UK
