Junior CAD Design Draftsperson - Staff

We have a new requirement for an Junior CAD Design Draftsperson within our Bridge of Don, Aberdeen Office.

• Start Date: To be agreed with the successful candidate; with a preference for an immediate start.
• Contract Type/Duration: Staff, Full-time, 37.5 Hours Per Week.

• Requirement to execute the activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Verify that the input information used for the work assigned is keeping up with the project development and warn the Designers, Engineers or Structural Project Specialist Lead on any detected anomaly.
• Carry out 3D modelling & 2D tasks using AutoCAD & Inventor.
• Carry out design drawings for primary, secondary and tertiary structures.
• Prepare bill of materials or material take-off for requisitions.
• Ensure the quality of documents produced by a permanent and adequate self-check.
• Sign documents produced.
• Ensure, when required, the verification of documents produced by other Draftspersons of the team.
• Update the documents produced after comments issued by other disciplines (Inter-discipline checks) or external stakeholders on the project (Client, Yard, Third party review, etc).
• Apply during the work assigned the relevant provisions of operations/assets or CAD Quality Procedure.

• Experience with Autodesk-based CAD products, including AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.

• HNC/ND in Mechanical Engineering preferred but not necessary.
• Previous experience as CAD Draftsperson, with relevant Offshore/Subsea Engineering background.
