Job description

We are seeking aJunior Cabin Design Engineer to join our innovative team based in Paisley, Glasgow. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with an interest in aviation interiors and a background in R&D engineering. Reporting to the Cabin Design Engineering Manager, you will support the development of high-quality leather interior solutions for the aviation sector. Your responsibilities will include assisting in creating and modifying technical drawings, supporting leather dress cover development, participating in patterning and inspection tasks, and helping prepare technical documentation. Full training and mentorship will be provided to develop your skills in leather technology, CAD design, aerospace manufacturing processes, and pattern development. The role offers exposure to industry standards, with opportunities to build core technical competencies and industry-specific knowledge in a supportive environment.

To be successful you will need:

  • HNC or HND in a related design field
  • Basic familiarity with CAD tools (training provided)
  • Interest in aviation interiors or design engineering
  • Good organisational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and work within a technical environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow guidance
