7:30-4:30 - Monday to Friday 40 hours/week including 7:30-12noon 1 Saturday AM/month

We provide high quality ambient, chilled, fresh and frozen produce from around the world and supply some of the most prestigious chefs in the country. At present, most of our customer are Greater London-based, but we have already begun the expansion process into other major UK cities such as Manchester and Bristol. The future is very promising!

Requirements:

As a result of our continued success, we are looking to recruit another Buyer/Stock Replenisher. The Buyer/ Stock Replenisher role involves placing orders daily with our varied supply base to meet our customer demand, whilst managing stock holding and inventory. Communication skills are essential in the role, both internally and externally to ensure our service level agreements are adhered to, as is being comfortable with spreadsheets, numbers and analysis.

Tasks Include:

• Daily ordering and buying stock of food and ingredients to required stock target levels.

  • Ensuring deliveries are booked and arrive on time in an acceptable manner.

• Keeping stock levels at desired levels, clearing slow selling stock, range management, no waste, minimal substitutes

  • Building & retaining good relationships with suppliers, including communications with them.

• Keeping our customer service and sales teams informed regarding product supply information.

• Reacting to any changes in customer and or market demand and informing others.

• Raising POs with selected suppliers and managing day to day communications between suppliers and Woods Foodservice for a high quality of service and supply.

• Liaising with Finance to resolve any invoice queries.

• Helping to interpret reports and predicting future sales.

• Maintenance of product data in our system.

• Sourcing and collecting any stock as and when needed.

Required Attributes:

• Experience in stock replenishment/buying of food/food ingredients preferred.

• Commercial mindset. Comfortable with spreadsheets, numbers, analysis.

  • Organised, prioritises well, confident making decisions.

• Ability to identify market and supplier trends.

• Good attention to detail.

• Good at building relationships and dealing with people at all levels.

• Self-motivated, can work independently and as part of a team.

• Able to cope with the demands of a fast paced and ever-changing business.

• Effective team player, collaborates and communicates effectively.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Word and ERP Data systems.

• The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, whilst not sacrificing quality.

  • Must have a UK Drivers License.
  • Must have the permanent right to work in the UK
