Job summary

Marks & Spencer is recruiting a Junior Buyer to join the Menswear team, focusing on Casual Shirts and Outerwear. You will shape standout ranges, combining a sharp product eye with commercial thinking to drive sales and evolve M&S Menswear.

You'll work with Merchandising, Design and Global Sourcing to deliver on-trend, commercially viable product across a hybrid working model in London.

Qualifications

• Incredibly strong menswear product eye with focus on Casual Shirts and Outerwear.
• Ability to initiate and build strong relationships with Design, Merchandising and Technology and Global Sourcing Offices.
• In-depth knowledge of cost price negotiations and global sourcing.
• Confident developing and building a comprehensive product range.
• An in-depth knowledge of the current competitive marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Trade outerwear aggressively with Merchandising and relevant business areas.
• Collaborate with Design to interpret market trends and direction; work with Global Sourcing Offices worldwide.
• Analyse historical sales in line with trends to manage product mix parameters.
• Present the global range for sign-off and manage systemic buying process approvals.
• Drive department strategy in line with wider BU, FH&B and Int FH&B strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Junior Buyer to join our Menswear team and make their mark across Casual Shirts and Outerwear. You'll help shape standout ranges that inspire our customers, combining a sharp product eye with commercial thinking to drive sales, grow the category and play a key part in the continued evolution of M&S Menswear.

• Work with Merchandising and all other relevant areas of the business to aggressively trade outerwear.
• Work with Design to interpret and adapt to market trends and direction. Work in collaboration with Sourcing Offices globally.
• Analyse historical sales in line with trends and design direction to manage product mix parameter.
• Present the global range for sign-off and effectively manage systemic elements of the buying process, taking accountability for the timely completion of relevant systemic approvals and processes
• Drive department strategy giving consideration to wider BU, FH&B and Int FH&B strategy
