Junior Buyer

Are you a passionate and driven Purchasing Assistant or Junior Buyer, looking for a chance to develop your Procurement career?

This is a great opportunity to join a close knit Procurement team, work for an international manufacturing business and manage a truly global supply base. It is an exciting role sourcing components from all over the world, and will be a fantastic role to complement your CIPS studies!

Key Responsibilities:

* Proactively source components from a global supplier base

* Raise purchase orders and expedite / oversee deliveries

* Ensure the Manufacturing team have all components needed for timely execution of the production plan

* Negotiate prices and contracts

* Implement cost-saving initiatives and drive cost downs

* Manage all day-to-day purchasing activities with precision and efficiency

Ideal skills and experience:

* Min 1+ years' experience within a purchasing or procurement role

* Passion to develop a career within Procurement

* Confidence to negotiate with suppliers and influence others

* Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written

* Ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders across different time zones and cultures

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet a variety of critical deadlines

* A proactive, "can-do" attitude

Previous experience in manufacturing and/or CIPS is an advantage.
