Are you looking to kickstart your career in Supply Chain or take your first big step towards becoming a Buyer in the Oil & Gas sector?

NES Fircroft is recruiting on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas Operator, offering a great opportunity to join their Buying team in Norwich.

This position is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience in a similar role or an enthusiastic individual eager to break into the industry with the right training and support. You’ll be joining a team that plays a critical part in supporting offshore installations and onshore gas terminals.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  1. Assist the buying team in sourcing goods and materials at the best possible price and delivery terms.
  2. Provide customer-focused purchasing support for various sites.
  3. Benchmark suppliers, negotiate pricing (especially for rental and labour services), and ensure QSHE compliance.
  4. Raise accurate Purchase Orders with correct cost allocations.
  5. Support timely and compliant delivery of materials and services.
  6. Help maintain supplier records and extract procurement data from SAP for reporting.
  7. Assist with supplier audits and ensure documentation and certification are in place.
  8. Build your SAP knowledge to support ongoing procurement activities.
What You’ll Need:
  1. 1–2 years of experience in a buyer or supply chain support role is preferred but not essential.
  2. Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  3. SAP MM experience is desirable but training can be provided.
