Job Opportunity: Junior Buyer (Finished Goods) at Ecotone

Ecotone has an exciting opportunity for a graduate-level Junior Buyer (Finished Goods) to join our vibrant, fast-paced company dedicated to promoting a healthy planet and healthy food. In this role, you will support the Project Buyer and Central Sourcing team, working closely with Marketing, R&D, and cross-country teams to manage several fast-growing categories and contribute to our overall growth and profitability.

Who are we looking for?

We seek a motivated individual eager to gain experience and build a career in purchasing within the (food) FMCG sector. You should enjoy negotiation, demonstrate strong relationship skills, be highly organized (with some project management experience preferred), and possess advanced Excel skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities, thrive in a high-energy environment, and engage effectively with stakeholders is essential. Reporting to the Project Buyer – Central Sourcing, your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Project Buyer in all aspects of their role
  • Monitoring supplier performance, handling correspondence, chasing queries, and validating their support capabilities
  • Developing strong supplier relationships for negotiations and tenders
  • Assisting in negotiating prices and productivity plans, ensuring relevant documentation is prepared
  • Supporting negotiations of exclusivity agreements, tenders, and contracts when applicable
  • Ensuring clear communication with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and follow-through
  • Keeping informed about category trends, product innovation, market players, and competitors
  • Contributing to innovation and renovation projects, including value engineering
  • Engaging stakeholders through effective and concise communication
