Purpose of the role:
- Helps to define and justify (in business terms) projects to develop/implement application projects providing new or changed processes.
- Gathers, understands, and documents the differences between current and future business processes and User Stories.
- Assists clients/users in defining acceptance tests and takes responsibility for their proper execution.
- Supports the user community in transition support and change delivery to realize business benefits.
Main Tasks:
- Responsible for investigative work to identify business opportunities and specify effective business processes. Specifies their implementation through improvements in information systems, data management, practices, organization, and equipment.
- Collaborates with senior client and IT staff, conducting high-level investigations for strategy studies, requirements specifications, and feasibility studies. Ensures stakeholder views are considered, verified, and validated. Prioritizes tasks to meet business objectives.
- Uses business experience to assess and advise on the practicality of alternatives, balancing technical limitations with operational realities.
- Specifies and models recommended solutions, maintaining links with software engineering and service delivery teams, and contributing to system implementation.
- Applies standards, methods, and tools effectively, producing high-quality technical and descriptive documentation.
- Plans and facilitates meetings and workshops with client/user staff during investigations and development phases, ensuring proper conduct of relations.
- Defines, plans, and justifies projects to develop/implement automated and non-automated components in business terms.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Business Analysis tasks.
- Experience in technical, financial, and quality aspects of work activities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience dealing with clients/users.
- Broad understanding of business skills and the importance of commercial constraints.
- Likely educated to bachelor’s degree level or with relevant professional qualifications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of development life cycles and their operational environment.
- Proficient in requirements definition and management.
- Experienced in communicating with clients at all levels, understanding business processes and systems.
