Proxima, part of the global Consulting firm, Bain & Company, have a great opportunity for a Junior Business Analyst, to be based in our new central Cardiff office. You will be responsible for supporting the development, maintenance and administration of key Operational Systems.

The role of Junior Business Analyst will help support some of our operational systems such as our AI, ERP, Sourcing tools, Knowledge management Systems, and Learning Management Tools. You will produce test plans, complete the testing of releases/bug fixes, and liaise with the software suppliers and IT to resolve system issues.

Responsibilities of the Junior Business Analyst

  • Ability to analyse business processes/systems and problems and suggest digital tools and solutions to solve them, such as using AI.
  • General maintenance and housekeeping / health check of business systems and processes.
  • Carry out a System Administration role to support the Senior Business Analyst (SBA) for the operational systems.
  • Produce test plans and complete the testing of releases/bug fixes.
  • Liaising with the software suppliers and IT to resolve system issues.
  • On-going troubleshooting and fixing of user issues for the operational systems, and escalating as appropriate.
  • Liaising with users throughout the business to review compliance and understand challenges faced and feed back into the digital development plan.
  • Maintaining system and user documentation for the operational systems.
  • Supporting the SBA with general office management and other business projects, as required.

The Junior Business Analyst position

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Experience or knowledge in AI, particularly in building custom agents and solutions.
  • Analytical thinker with the desire to find innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Experience building effective relationships with a wide range of peers and colleagues.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams with a focus on delivery.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, prioritising accordingly.
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a high-performing team within a fast-paced and fluid working environment.
