As a Junior Building Services Engineer, you will be supporting the site engineering team in carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks across a large commercial environment. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and will gain hands-on training across electrical, mechanical, and general building fabric maintenance.
Assist with routine PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) tasks
Carry out basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and fabric repairs
Support with minor electrical and mechanical maintenance where trained
Ensure work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety procedures
Respond to day-to-day maintenance requests from the client and team
Help keep plant rooms and maintenance areas clean, safe, and organised
Some previous experience in handyman, maintenance or facilities support role
Eagerness to learn and develop within a technical FM environment
Good attitude, reliability, and willingness to undergo training
Excellent communication and teamworking skills
Flexibility to work alternating shifts (Mon–Fri one week, Tues–Sat the next)
Salary of £29,000 per annum
40-hour working week with fixed shift pattern
