The Junior Installation Technician is responsible for assisting with various installation duties on technology projects for our clients. This position supports the key field operations and helps ensure the actual work is completed efficiently in our clients' buildings. The Junior Installation Technician will work closely with project management, field supervisors, and other team members to understand their role on specific projects. They will help interpret drawing packages to aid in the creation of the finished systems. This installation can include displays, projectors, loudspeakers, microphones, equipment racks, and more.
A full driving licence would be advantageous.
This level of technician will assist with tasks on clients' job sites under the supervision of more experienced technicians or supervisors. They will learn to coordinate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors on smaller projects as they gain experience.
The Junior Installation Technician will work under close supervision and will make decisions with guidance from project managers and site supervisors. They will develop good judgment and diplomacy skills through interactions with clients and other key stakeholders on job sites.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. The employee may be exposed to construction site conditions on a regular basis. Employee will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites. The employee can typically spend at least 60% of their time on their feet and be required to be mobile around the construction site. The employee must have the ability to occasionally climb ladders, use stairs and lift and/or move materials up to 40 pounds in construction areas. The individual is regularly required to use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth vision. When not on construction sites, the employee will experience normal office conditions and be required to use office equipment such as computers, peripherals, etc.
Frequent international travel is part of the role so the Employee must possess a valid passport.
Remuneration whilst away from home will be paid at the following rates:
