Job description

Junior Artworker

£12.21 per hour, Burgess Hill, 8:30am-5:30pm, Full time, Permanent, 20 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday off, Healthcare scheme after 1 year, Pension, Training & development opportunities

The Role
This is a great opportunity to join a growing business within the vehicle livery and graphics sector, supporting the ongoing digital transformation of their production processes. Working closely with the design, production and client services teams, you will play a vital role in transferring existing livery kits and technical drawings into a newly developed client-facing online portal. Reporting into the design and development function, you will take ownership of content generation to ensure the portal is populated with accurate and production-ready assets. Please note this is NOT a creative role.

  • Preparing and converting technical vehicle livery files using programmes such as CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Building and uploading portal content based on approved pre-production kits
  • Liaising with the design and client service teams to prioritise workload
  • Maintaining a consistent and accurate visual representation of vehicle kits for online use
  • Supporting continuous content creation and improvement of the portal
  • Implementing improvements to the processes used in content generation
  • Assisting with system testing and identifying automation opportunities
  • Supporting a smooth transition into automated, 'lights-out' production
  • Ensuring assets are correctly structured to drive production automation

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of print, artwork, or graphic file production, and be comfortable using CorelDRAW, Illustrator, and Photoshop in a technical capacity. This is not a creative design role but one that requires attention to detail and a methodical approach to preparing artwork for automation and manufacturing. A background in print, signage or pre-press is highly desirable, along with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively across departments. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Junior Artworker, Pre-Press Operator, or Technical Artworker.

Company Information
This is an established, innovative and growing company operating in the specialist vehicle graphics and livery sector, working with major clients including emergency services and commercial fleets. The business prides itself on quality, attention to detail, and a strong internal culture that supports training and progression. The role has arisen as part of a strategic move to digitise and automate production processes across the company.
