Junior Architectural Technician, Gloucester, £24k - £27k DOE

Opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented junior Architectural Technician to join a reputable Architectural consultancy. Working closely with a team, you will contribute to projects from planning stages through to completion. This role involves collaboration with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure the successful execution of designs, technical specifications, and project requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Architectural Technician to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking architectural practice. You will gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment that values creativity, precision, and continuous learning. You will work within a BIM-driven environment, assisting in strategy development with the BIM manager, creating and managing Archicad objects, participating in clash detection meetings, and coordinating with subcontractors to update project models.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop architectural projects, ensuring coordination between design teams and stakeholders.
  • Create and refine 3D models, develop 2D drawings, and produce specifications.
  • Interpret project briefs, refine designs, conduct site assessments, and prepare reports.
  • Communicate with clients and attend meetings to ensure project progress.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including health and safety standards and CDM requirements.
  • Assist in producing planning applications, building regulations documentation, and contract drawings.

Requirements:

  • Relevant architectural qualification or degree.
  • Understanding of technical and construction processes.
  • Proficiency in Archicad.
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and an organized, proactive approach.
  • Attention to design and detailing.
  • Willingness to learn statutory regulations and industry best practices.
  • Understanding of CDM regulations.
