Job description

Mileway is Europe’s leader in last mile logistics real estate with a growing team across multiple offices. We are looking for a Junior Analyst to join our London team, reporting to the Senior Portfolio Analyst, supporting the UK market and collaborating with our Amsterdam-based Portfolio & Financial Management team on ad hoc and ongoing projects.

As a Junior Analyst, you’ll have responsibilities on both a country and international level. You’ll provide country-level analytics support for the UK market while contributing to cross-border initiatives to help manage performance and report Mileway’s results to its shareholder.

What you will do
  • Provide analytical support to the Country Head, Regional Directors, and the Asset Management team on portfolio performance to ensure strategic execution of key workstreams.
  • Contribute to recurring reporting such as tenancy schedules, occupancy forecasts, and leasing updates, and help explain country performance (e.g. variance to forecast and budget on operational KPIs, NOI, and net cashflows).
  • Assist in performing in-depth asset- and portfolio-level analysis (lease, capex, NOI, etc.) and prepare high-quality reporting on past, current, and future portfolio performance.
  • Assist (coordinate with local and central teams) on key strategic workstreams such as annual budgeting, and preparation of Investment Committee materials (acquisitions, disposals, leasing, capex, write-offs, and other strategic topics).
  • Support and deliver the country input for investor quarterly and ad-hoc reporting, in close collaboration with the Portfolio & Financial Management team.
  • Create a firm understanding of all systems used to manage and track the portfolio’s performance (Yardi, Salesforce, Tableau, Excel, etc.) and support in optimising systems and processes.
  • Assist in ad-hoc analysis.
What you’ll bring
  • Up to one year of experience in a relevant area, ideally in private equity or asset management, preferably with a focus on real estate.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and the ability to work with complex and large data sets (Excel).
  • A strong academic background in a relevant area, for example Finance or Real Estate studies.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to work on multiple projects at the same time and meet deadlines.
  • Commercial mindset and great communication skills. You understand the numbers and can explain what they mean to others.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines.
  • Strong team attitude and the ability to build relationships across a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the tenacity to get things done.
  • Strong data focus with the ability to digitize and track new data effectively.
