Job summary

FarmWell invites applications for a Junior Agronomist to join its Agronomy & Innovation team in the UK. This newly created role offers hands-on training, field-based exposure to commercial potato production, and a clear path to becoming a crop specialist.

You'll work alongside experienced agronomists, visit growers, collect data, assess crop performance, and contribute to variety trials, quality improvement, and sustainability projects in real farm environments.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for crop production and a long-term career in agronomy.
• Some experience working with crops, agriculture, horticulture, fresh produce, or field trials.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Visit grower crops alongside experienced agronomists.
• Assist with crop assessments, monitoring health, and yield potential.
• Support trials and data collection for variety development.
• Record observations and help communicate findings to the team.
