Overview

Junior Activities Assistant — Devonshire FWC | Childcare | Permanent | Part Time

£12.33 per hour6 hours per week

We are looking for a Junior Activities Assistant at our gym, who will create a safe, secure and stimulating environment where children can explore their potential. You’ll consider their physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development. Engage with them through play and education and keep up with the latest changes in childcare legislation. We’ll give you opportunities to train in new techniques and approaches.

Responsibilities
  • Take reasonable care of yourself and others while complying with Health and Safety policy at all times.
  • Create a safe, clean, tidy, secure and stimulating environment – one where children can fully explore their potential.
  • Consider children’s physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development through play and education.
  • Provide equipment for play and education.
  • Ensure a clean and tidy environment at all times.
  • Liaise with parents and carers regularly in an informative and appropriate manner.
  • Assist / take a lead role with Nstar and Birthday parties.
Qualifications

You will need proven experience in a childcare environment, and be qualified to NNEB, NVQ Level 3, BTEC. Ideally, EYPS and Paediatric First Aid.

You will need to be available to work shifts between 09:00-12:00 and 16:00-19:00 on weekdays and 09:00-12:00 on weekends, plus assisting with Nstars birthday parties on weekend afternoons.
