The Role

Reporting to Finance Directors and Senior Accountants, Junior Accountants will support a portfolio of 8+ clients, serving as the main point of contact for clients' accounting and finance queries and supporting with month-end and accounts processes. Key responsibilities include owning the payment runs, preparing VAT returns, performing bank reconciliations, maintaining accurate records on Xero, and helping the completion of management accounts.

This role is ideal for someone with 1 year of accounting experience who is looking to fast-track their learning and development, working with multiple clients in a dynamic environment. Communication skills, ambition, an eagerness to learn, and curiosity are essential.

Clear pathways to progression - potentially leading to Finance Director roles - are available, supported by ongoing training and development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of 8 accountants to manage multiple client accounts
• Handling bank reconciliation and payment runs
• Preparing VAT returns
• Coordinating payroll
• Supporting with month end close activities
• Liaising with stakeholders and clients
• Responding to inbound accounting queries on clients' behalf
• Ad hoc tasks to support Senior Accountants

What we need to see (essential):

• At least 1 year of experience in finance and accounting
• Knowledge of Xero

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 + bonus and study support

Location: London

Start Date: ASAP

Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days working from home
