The company is an FMCG (drinks) wholesaler looking for a Junior Accountant to join the small finance team. The role reports directly to the Head of Finance and offers exposure across the full company accounts. They have a diverse product portfolio and deliver high-quality offerings to a broad customer base. As the company grows, they plan to expand their finance team and bring finance operations in-house.

Job Description

The successful Junior Accountant will:

• Assist in preparing financial reports
• Manage the Accounts Payable ledger end-to-end
• Process purchase ledger invoices
• Manage payment runs
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Reconcile supplier statements
• Support budgeting and forecasting in the Finance department
• Handle credit card reconciliations and expense processing

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Junior Accountant should have:

• Prior experience with Sage 200 (or Sage 50)
• Approximately 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a stock-based industry
• Studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualification
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Team-oriented attitude and eagerness to develop professionally
• Willingness to work 5 days a week at the South West London office
