Moore Concrete Products Ltd., a precast concrete manufacturer near Ballymena, invites applications for a Graduate Accountant to join our accounts team. You will assist in maintaining company accounts, preparing financial statements and supporting internal and external audits.

Ideal candidate holds a BSc in Accounting or Finance, is highly numerate with strong attention to detail, and proficient in MS Office.

Qualifications

• BSc Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline.
• Good knowledge of fundamental accounting principles.
• Highly numerate with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office; ERP/accounting experience advantageous.
• Organised and able to manage competing priorities.
• Knowledge of achieving targets.
• Previous finance internship or placement.
• Exposure to an ERP or manufacturing accounting system.
• Understanding of management accounting, costing or inventory accounting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments and other adjustments.
• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts and general ledger accounts.
• Support the analysis of material, labour and overhead costs.
• Assist with production costings and review manufacturing variances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting.
• Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records etc as assigned.
• Assist with VAT/tax reporting and other statutory requirements.
• Preparation of data for internal and external account audits.
• Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
