Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a growing and reputable healthcare firm in Preston? Do you have a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

Agility Resourcing is a specialist recruitment company working in partnership with our client, a well-established and respected healthcare practice in Preston. We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join their friendly and professional team.

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and posting journal entries for various clients
  • Reconciling bank accounts and other balance sheet items
  • Preparing VAT returns and other tax computations
  • Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and audit files
  • Supporting senior accountants with ad hoc tasks and projects

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • AAT qualification or equivalent, or studying towards ACCA/CIMA
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a practice environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • A positive and proactive attitude
