Are you an apprentice / trainee accountant from practice looking for a step in to industry? Are you actively studying or recently qualified AAT? Want to join a business where you'll be supported throughout your career in accounting?

Join this manufacturer as a Junior Accountant. You'll already have experience of management accounts and transactional finance and will be ready for a new challenge where you can build on your current experience.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you'll develop over time to be their number 2.

About You

• You'll be actively studying towards or qualified AAT - if you've already commenced CIMA/ACCA/ACA that's a huge advantage!
• It would be good if you've got some experience from accountancy practice so as to have had some exposure to audit and manufacturing
• You should have some knowledge of management accounts and month/year end processes
• You should enjoy an active and varied role, having involvement in all aspects of accounting and finance management
• You will be comfortable liasing with and presenting to internal and external stakeholders
• You'll be happy working onsite in Middleton (North Manchester) 5 days per week

You will join as Junior Accountant and will work alongside the FC and the wider finance department to ensure that financial activities are completed accurately and on time. This is a great opportunity to learn from a great mentor and really carve your career path with the business.

• You'll assist in the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance IFRS / GAAP
• Assisting with month and year end close down including relevant reporting and reconciliations
• Accurate maintenance of the general ledger
• Assisting with audits, working closely with internal and external auditors with the extraction and supply of financial data
• Competent analysis and reporting on financial performance
