Junior Accountant Position

Our well-established accountancy practice based in Essex is seeking a Junior Accountant due to growing workload and company restructuring. This full-time, office-based role (Monday-Friday) offers flexible working hours and excellent career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare financial statements from source documents/records to final accounts
2. Prepare accounting schedules to support balances and transactions
3. Liaise with clients to resolve queries and gather additional information
4. Prepare control account reconciliations
5. Work with a wide range of clients across different industries
6. Maintain a high level of service to meet client expectations

Candidate Requirements

• AAT Level 3 qualification
• 2-3 years of experience in an accountancy practice
• Experience with IRIS software (desirable)
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (Xero, VT, QuickBooks)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive problem-solving skills
