Job Details

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our head office accounting team located in South Surrey, BC. If you are a positive, energetic team player with an eagerness to learn, this role offers the opportunity to grow your skills and be part of a continually growing organization.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and clerical accounting work
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge in the transportation and logistics industry is considered an asset
Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices
  • Record and process customer payments and deposits
  • Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Prepare and maintain AR aging reports and provide timely updates to management
  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule
  • Assist in the accounting team’s day-to-day work
  • Other duties as assigned by management
