Junior Commercial Account Executive - SME / Commercial

Location: Ipswich

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 DOE + Commission (10% on new business, 2% on existing)

I'm working with a well-established, independent insurance broker looking to expand their commercial team with a Junior Commercial Account Executive. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 2+ years' experience in SME / Commercial insurance, particularly with a new business focus, who is ready to take the next step in their career.

About the Role

This is a hybrid role, combining new business development with account management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and managing your own portfolio of smaller commercial clients.
  • Attending networking events to generate leads and expand your network.
  • Taking ownership of new business opportunities from initial contact through to conversion.
  • Providing ongoing service and support to existing clients.
About You
  • 2+ years' experience in SME or commercial insurance, ideally in a new business or account handler role.
  • Motivated to develop your career and take on more responsibility.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable building relationships both in person and over the phone.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - able to spot opportunities and take initiative.
  • Flexible and willing to attend networking events a couple of times a month (before or after work).
