Job description

We are looking for our next HR BP for Italy North - 1-year contract.

Are you ready to shape the future of HR in a dynamic, global environment? We're seeking a visionary HR Business Partner to join our team in Northern Italy, directly reporting to the PPG Italy HR Country Coordinator.

Your Mission:

As our HR Business Partner, you'll be the driving force behind our people strategy, influencing the success of approximately 400 employees across both white-collar and blue-collar roles. You'll navigate diverse situations, turning them into opportunities for growth and innovation.

What You'll Do
  • Translate the business/functional and corporate strategies into the local HR agenda, enabled by data and analytics.
  • Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, using data to develop talent, total rewards, engagement, performance, culture, and capability building to support local business outcomes.
  • Deliver short- and long-term sustainable business/function performance through strategic capability building.
  • Ensure execution of HR strategy, balancing local business needs with program requirements, while understanding and advocating the company approach.
  • Collaborate with regional/local leaders to improve and execute standard processes (e.g., talent, rewards, engagement, succession, and development).
  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives to drive awareness, accountability, and tailored actions where needed.
  • Optimize the workforce through resource planning, productivity analysis, structure, operational deployment, and resource allocation.
  • Support employee relations and labor relations on critical negotiations with unions and works councils.
  • Manage local, non-complex issues such as employee relations, attendance, compensation, disciplinary procedures, and policy adherence, following global, regional, and local practices.
Who You Are:
  • A forward-thinking HR professional with a positive, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Solution-driven, with a knack for turning challenges into opportunities.
  • Fluent in English and knowledgeable of Italian employment legislation.
  • Experienced in the industrial sector, preferably within multinational environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable navigating complex situations and collaborating with global teams.

The role is a replacement, for a 1-year fixed-term contract.

The Adventure Awaits:

This role involves managing multiple sites across Northern Italy, with about 60% travel. You'll be at the forefront of HR innovation, balancing strategic topics like labor relations and analytics with soft topics such as culture growth and talent development.

Are you ready to embark on a journey that will challenge, inspire, and allow you to make a lasting impact? If you thrive in a global environment and are passionate about transforming HR challenges into growth opportunities, we want to hear from you!
