Jr Compliance Analyst, FinOps Compliance Team

Amazon Finance & Global Business Services (FGBS) plays a key role in the company’s mission to be Earth’s most customer-centric company. FGBS includes finance functions like Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Tax, as well as other functions like Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF), Investor Relations, and Benchmarking.

The FGBS Team is seeking a Compliance Analyst to join the Accounts Payable Compliance operation in Costa Rica. The successful candidate will perform compliance activities for LATAM operations, including reconciling complex vendor accounts, auditing fiscal documents such as Payment Complements and Credit Notes, and managing collections for pending fiscal documents, all while maintaining high levels of controllership and customer obsession.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reconcile, audit, and monitor vendor accounts of medium to high complexity.
2. Conduct collection activities according to KPIs to meet company goals.
3. Partner with vendors to ensure timely collection of credit notes and fiscal documents.
4. Collaborate with finance operations teams across locations for prompt transaction processing.
5. Provide training to vendors on compliance processes.
6. Support fiscal audit readiness through historical reconciliations.
7. Process fiscal documents into relevant ERPs.

About the Team

The Compliance Team fosters an organizational culture of ethical conduct and regulatory adherence. We aim to strengthen preventive controls and eliminate process deficiencies to support compliance with government regulations and stakeholder needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent customer service skills
• At least 1 year of shared service operations experience
• Intermediate English proficiency
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Data analysis and communication skills
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, or similar applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in case (ticket) handling and resolution
• Bachelor’s degree with experience in Finance Operations, Shared Services, Accounts Payable/Receivable, or General Ledger
• Understanding of LATAM tax treatments
• Experience with Oracle Financial Applications
