This position primarily focuses on Reserve Power applications, including telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities, switchgear, security, emergency lighting, and general electronics. Our reserve power brands include PowerSafe, DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range supports various reserve power applications, delivering effective, powerful, and reliable batteries.

Job Purpose

Provides general field electrical support for projects, as directed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Replaces or repairs equipment and ensures installation projects meet quality and safety standards.
  2. Performs and oversees successful installation and transition of live critical load panels supporting power to critical IT network infrastructure.
  3. Performs new installations, removals, and modifications on live energized systems supporting critical network equipment.
  4. Performs addition or removal of circuits on power distribution sources.
  5. Tests and commissions emergency backup power systems, generators, and HVAC systems.
  6. Updates office record drawings.
  7. Maintains inventories of materials and equipment, transports needed items to the job site.
  8. Coordinates with the area manager and customer stakeholders regarding schedules, quality, and standards, ensuring safety and installation quality.
  9. Escalates issues to the area manager as needed.
  10. Enforces standards of professionalism, quality, safety, and processes.
  11. Tracks time and expenses accurately and reports to project management.
  12. Supports sales team by cultivating customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering quality and value.
  13. Provides work assignments to electricians supporting multiple regional projects.
  14. Expected travel: 50-75%.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrical Card.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
  • Ability to add/remove System hardware and wiring.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and best practices.
  • Ability to interpret electrical designs and schematics.
  • Use electrical diagnostic tools.
  • Relevant state license or ability to obtain one.
General Job Requirements
  • Willingness to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Physical ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg) regularly; heavier items handled with assistance.
