Our OEM Client based in Solihull is searching for a Joining / Manufacturing Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 17th July 2026.
Umbrella Pay Rate: GBP32.61 per hour.
As a Joining / Manufacturing Engineer, you will be at the heart of our manufacturing process, ensuring our joining methods are robust and efficient.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and influence: Actively contribute insights and provide vital feedback to lead Joining Engineer, BIW Process Engineering, and Product Development teams to shape manufacturable joining methods.
- Analyse and optimise: Review feasibility trial results, ensure data validity, identify improvements, and drive optimal solutions.
- Foster vendor relationships: Manage vendor engineers, ensure responsibilities, reviews, and timings are met, and raise deviations promptly.
- Ensure project consistency: Coordinate projects, maintain alignment with best practices and methodologies for high-quality delivery.
- Drive digital transformation: Use data and digital tools like PowerApps, macros, and AI to automate, monitor, and analyze processes for improved decision-making.
- Coordinate manufacturing excellence: Work with project teams and vendors to ensure adherence to joining technologies and standards for seamless production.
- Understand the big picture: Develop understanding of interface interactions in joining technologies like adhesives, FDS, RSW, etc., ensuring parameters are aligned.
