My client, who manufactures bespoke joinery, is looking to recruit a Production Manager.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the joinery manufacturing industry.
Job Description:
- Oversee and manage multiple client projects from receipt to completion, including receiving design briefs, providing quotes, estimating production lead times, and managing communication with clients throughout the process.
- Coordinate with external suppliers, manage quality, budgets, and timelines, and visit suppliers to ensure standards are met.
- Brief and coordinate with the production team through daily and weekly meetings, ensuring they understand project expectations.
- Attend site surveys and installations as needed to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage staff, organize training, and maintain high morale within the team.
- Oversee quality control at all production stages, ensuring all work is signed off before dispatch.
- Coordinate with Dispatch and Logistics to ensure timely delivery and proper packing of finished goods.
- Control and manage budgets to ensure profitability within quoted costs.
- Order materials, manage stock levels, and ensure materials meet specifications.
Skills:
- Experience in manufacturing and installations, with at least 5 years in a workshop environment.
- Knowledge of various departments such as technical, CNC, bench, and spray shop is advantageous.
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools.
- Strong skills in spreadsheet software like Excel or Numbers.
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism in client interactions.
