Job summary

Rentokil Initial Group in the Lincoln area is seeking a Joiner Technician to deliver on domestic and commercial joinery work, focusing on repair and replacement tasks.

You will carry out first and second fix joinery, renew skirting boards, support preservation works, timber treatments, and ensure on-site safety and tidy workspaces. A full UK driving licence, on-site joinery experience and a formal NVQ Level 2 joinery qualification are preferred; DBS may be required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for 2+ years with no more than six penalty points.
• On-site joinery experience required.
• NVQ Level 2 joinery preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs.
• DBS check may be required depending on the role.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out first and second fix joinery, replacing decayed joists and flooring, renewing skirting boards and other timber repairs.
• Implementing preservation works on site, including stripping and replacing timber floors, door frames, architraves and windows.
• Carrying out timber treatments such as woodworm, sprays and fungal decay work.
• Providing advice to customers and delivering a high level of service.
• Adhering to risk assessments and health & safety on-site.
• Ensuring sites are left clean and tidy.
• Completing other tasks within the branch as required.

The Joiner Technician Role

As a Joiner Technician, you will play a key part in delivering work for our customers on both domestic and commercial jobs.

• Carrying out first and second fix joinery, focusing on replacing decayed joists and flooring, renewing skirting boards and other general timber repairs
• Implementing preservation works on site, which could include stripping and replacing timber floors, door frames, architraves and windows
• Supporting with damp proofing and removing of wall coatings including plaster, woodworm treatments, wall tie installation and cavity drain membrane installation
• Carrying out timber treatments such as woodworm, sprays & fungal decay work
• Offering valuable advice to customers and providing a high level of service
• Adhering to all risk assessments and health & safety measures on-site
• Ensuring any sites are left clean and tidy
• Completing other required tasks within the branch as required

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years, with no more than six penalty points
• On-site joinery experience
• Formal joinery qualification such as carpentry and joinery NVQ Level 2 preferred
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
• Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs
• You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role you have applied for
