Job summary

Rentokil Initial in Lincoln is seeking a Joiner Technician who can manage their own schedule and deliver practical joinery solutions on domestic and commercial sites, ensuring high standards of service for customers. You will carry out first and second fix joinery, replace decayed timber, fit skirting boards, and perform preservation works while following safety requirements and keeping sites clean.

A full UK driving licence is required and a joinery qualification is preferred; company vehicle

Qualifications

• On-site joinery experience required.

• Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out first and second fix joinery, replacing decayed joists and flooring, renewing skirting boards and other timber repairs.
• Implementing preservation works on site, including stripping and replacing timber floors, door frames, architraves and windows.
• Supporting with damp proofing and removal of wall coatings including plaster, woodworm treatments, wall tie installation and cavity drain membrane installation.
• Carrying out timber treatments such as woodworm, sprays & fungal decay work.
• Adhering to risk assessments and health & safety on-site, leaving sites clean and tidy.
• Completing other required tasks within the branch as required.

The Joiner Technician Role

As a Joiner Technician, you will play a key part in delivering work for our customers on both domestic and commercial jobs. Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out first and second fix joinery, focusing on replacing decayed joists and flooring, renewing skirting boards and other general timber repairs
• Implementing preservation works on site, which could include stripping and replacing timber floors, door frames, architraves and windows
• Supporting with damp proofing and removing of wall coatings including plaster, woodworm treatments, wall tie installation and cavity drain membrane installation
• Carrying out timber treatments such as woodworm, sprays & fungal decay work
• Offering valuable advice to customers and providing a high level of service
• Adhering to all risk assessments and health & safety measures on-site
• Ensuring any sites are left clean and tidy
• Completing other required tasks within the branch as required

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years, with no more than six penalty points
• On-site joinery experience
• Formal joinery qualification such as carpentry and joinery NVQ Level 2 preferred
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
• Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs
• You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role you have applied for
