Job summary

Progress Housing Group in Leyland seeks a skilled Joiner to perform reactive repairs, void reinstatement, and planned maintenance across client properties. You will deliver high-quality joinery work, prioritise safety, and meet deadlines while communicating clearly with customers and team members.

You will hold a recognised trade qualification and a UK driving licence, with a strong focus on health and safety and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

A recognised trade qualification such as NVQ, SVQ or City & Guilds.
A full UK driving licence.
Strong knowledge and experience of joinery for internal and external customers.
Knowledge of Health and Safety, Building Regulations and risk assessments.
Experience dealing with customers in a service environment.

Responsibilities

Carry out reactive repairs, void reinstatement, planned maintenance and installation work.
Complete joinery works to a high standard with safety, quality and productivity in mind.
Work with Health & Safety requirements and relevant regulations; complete repairs promptly.
Communicate with customers, colleagues and stakeholders and document work clearly.
Maintain tools and vehicle; report defects or barriers to productivity to your Team Leader.
Liaise with colleagues and managers to support multi-trade jobs and stand-by rotas.
