An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Operations team in Redcar for a qualified and experienced Joiner.

This role requires an individual who is multi-skilled and capable of completing a range of repairs.

Your main duties will be:

1. Working in a team to install kitchens, windows, doors, skirting boards, cladding, fascias and soffits, along with staircase repairs, guttering and most other aspects of joinery
2. Working within empty, void and occupied homes, completing repairs and maintenance to meet the demands of the business
3. Carrying out minor building multi-skill works, including brickwork replacement, plastering, small tiling jobs, plumbing, gutting and glazing
4. Ensuring the service you deliver aligns with our planned operating standards
5. Ensuring the service you provide to our customers aligns with our customer and quality standards
6. Responding to all work-related issues via our company’s communication systems, which may include PDA or IT systems
7. Recording work activities carried out, including assessing and recording the materials used
8. Being responsible for your own compliance with health and safety legislation and for the safety of any recipients of the service
9. Assisting in the maintenance and security of plant machinery and vehicles as and when required

As part of this role, you may need to mentor an apprentice, volunteer or work experience placement.

1. Wall tiling and floor tiling, such as removal of wall tiles, and where there is an acceptable asbestos check in place, removal of floor tiles. The skills required will involve tiling of wall and floor areas including setting out, matching tiles to existing, cutting/shaping and grouting
2. Good standard of painting
3. Good standard of plastering
4. Good standard of brickwork (i.e., frames and hole patches)
5. Basic plumbing repairs, including removal and replacement of inset sink, taps and sink waste to allow for the replacement of worktops

As part of this role, you may also be eligible for callout payments, which will be discussed if you are invited to an interview.
