About the role:

• £13.91 per hour
• Monday to Friday, (8:30am - 4:30pm)
• 37 hours a week
• Holidays: 35 days pro rata
• Duration: Temporary, ongoing
• Closing date for applications: 11th August 2025

What you'll be doing in this role:

• Fitting kitchens to required specification
• Repair, renew and maintain internal/external doors, door frames, windows, and associated ironmongery
• Repair, renew, and maintain all types of flooring, floor tiles, and wall tiles, including levelling compound
• Repair, renew, and maintain bath panels, skirting, plywood ducting, etc.
• Repair, renew, and maintain all types of fencing, gates, and related works
• Form-work and joist/roof trusses, slating, tiling, and flat roof construction
• Repairs to guttering, downpipes, and roof line works
• Erect plasterboard and dry lining
• Painting and staining as required
• Carry out a range of multi-skilled tasks including plastering, plumbing, painting, non-slip flooring, and tiling, outside of trade-specific work

Criteria:

• Successfully completed an apprenticeship in Joinery (time served or skills-based)
• At least 2 years’ post-apprenticeship joinery experience
• Competent in core trade skills with the ability to complete various tasks independently
• Sound practical knowledge of current health and safety legislation in a maintenance/repair environment
• Full current driving license (C1 desirable)
• Flexible to provide emergency call-out services on evenings and weekends on a rota basis
• Willing to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure; having a criminal record does not necessarily disqualify
