Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Joiner for a social housing contract based in Long Bennington and surrounding areas. You will perform joinery and multi-trade tasks to a high standard, installing components and repairing fixtures for residents.

Role requires proven joinery experience, CSCS card, and a full UK driving licence, with a competitive £36,000 basic salary and benefits package. On-site role with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds qualification in Joinery or equivalent.
• Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
• Proven joinery installation and repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery and multi-trade tasks to a high standard.
• Install and fit joinery components including locks, handles, hinges and fittings.
• Measure, cut and assemble wood, composite or metal components.
• Construct and repair doors, windows, cabinets and other joinery items.
• Repair or replace skirting boards, staircases, kitchen units and other joinery.
• Assist with minor plumbing tasks including repairing leaks and replacing taps.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work within agreed timescales.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service to residents.

Who are we looking for?

• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds qualification in Joinery, or equivalent.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Proven experience in joinery installation and repair.
• Previous experience within construction, social housing or property maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of construction health & safety.
• Good knowledge of joinery materials, tools and techniques.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.
