Job summary

Search Consultancy is seeking skilled joiners to work on active site projects across Northumberland and the wider North East region. You will carry out high-quality first and second-fix carpentry and kitchens fit-outs for commercial and housing developments, using your own 110v or cordless tools and a full joinery kit.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid CSCS card, have time-served joinery experience on site, and a clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• Time-served joiner with solid site experience.
• CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker or Gold Advanced Craft in Carpentry & Joinery) or NVQ Level 2/3.
• Own tools and PPE required.

Responsibilities

• First Fix Joinery: constructing roof timber structures, partitions and floor joists.
• Second Fix Joinery: hanging doors, skirtings, arches, window boards and boxing-in pipework.
• Kitchens & Fit-outs: installing fitted units, worktops, hardware and timber fixtures.

Search Consultancy is looking for skilled, time-served Joiners to join active site projects across Northumberland. We are partnering with established regional main contractors and timber frame specialists requiring experienced operatives for high-quality first and second-fix carpentry and joinery work on commercial and housing developments.

If you have a valid CSCS card, your own full kit of 110v or cordless power tools, and a proven track record delivering clean, precise timber work, we have immediate starts available.

The Role

First Fix Joinery: Constructing roof timber structures, stud partitions, floor joists, window frames, door linings, and timber cladding.

Second Fix Joinery: Hanging internal and external doors, fitting skirtings, architraves, door furniture, window boards, and boxing-in pipework.

Kitchens & Fit-outs: Installing fitted kitchen units, worktops, hardware, and specialized timber fixtures where required.

Site Compliance: Working accurately to technical drawings, maintaining safety standards, and keeping work bays tidy.

Requirements

CSCS Card: Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker or Gold Advanced Craft in Carpentry & Joinery, NVQ Level 2 or 3).

Experience: Time-served Joiner with solid site experience across commercial or residential builds.

Tools & Kit: Full joinery kit (110v / cordless circular saws, routers, nail guns, hand tools) and standard 5-point PPE.

Reliability: High level of craftmanship, reliable attendance, and valid UK driving licence (beneficial for site access across the region).

Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
