Job summary

Places for People is seeking a Joiner to carry out installations and repairs across domestic properties in the London area. You will travel between jobs in the company van and work independently or with a team, engaging directly with customers in their homes.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Joinery and a Full UK driving licence, with a DBS check and a base within the London postcode. A pension and bonus scheme are offered, with a secure, permanent position.

• Protecting Customers' homes and belongings while completing work
• Collaborating with supervisors, schedulers and wider teams to meet deadlines
• Recording work activity and completing required documentation
• Supporting apprentices and contributing to team performance and KPIs

What your day looks like

• A structured schedule covering repairs and maintenance work
• Travelling between jobs in your company van
• Working independently or with a team of other tradespeople
• Engaging directly with Customers in their homes
• Completing work efficiently while maintaining quality and compliance standards

Where you'll work

You will be working across:

• Occupied homes
• Empty (void) properties
• A range of domestic properties within your local area
• Environments involving vulnerable Customers, We're moving quickly and aim to interview ASAP for suitable candidates. If successful, when you join us you'll start an induction programme, which covers our systems, how we do things here and anything else you'll need to know.

Important information

This role will require a Basic DBS check. You may be required to work across surrounding areas.
