Job description

We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter / Joinerto join a busy maintenance team, delivering responsive repairs, void property works and planned maintenance services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, is customer-focused, and can manage their time effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a variety of maintenance tasks, including responsive repairs, voids and planned works

  • Work using your main trade, while also carrying out tasks in other trades where competent

  • Plan and organise your workload to meet service deadlines and priorities

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and admin teams to report on job progress or issues

  • Liaise directly with tenants to arrange access and deliver a positive customer experience

  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing the service

  • Keep your allocated vehicle clean, stocked and in good condition

  • Take responsibility for the safe use and maintenance of tools, equipment and materials

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in your primary trade (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, etc.)

  • Additional skills in other trades would be an advantage

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

  • Willingness to work flexibly to meet tenant needs

The pay range for the role is £24.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £20.46 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
