Job Description:

Write a short description of your company, a boilerplate of the business, service or product that you offer. Include your business idea and the target audience. This text is primarily supposed to be descriptive, not selling.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Ealing. This is a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2025, ideal for a passionate practitioner who thrives in a collaborative, child-centred environment.

About the School

This vibrant, 2-form entry school in the heart of Ealing is known for its inclusive ethos, high expectations, and strong sense of community. The school offers a creative, broad curriculum and is committed to nurturing every child’s academic, emotional, and social development.

With a recent Good Ofsted rating, the school continues to grow from strength to strength, underpinned by excellent leadership, supportive staff, and strong parental engagement. The environment is well-resourced, with spacious classrooms, engaging outdoor learning areas, and a focus on both academic rigour and wellbeing.

About the Role

As a Year 1 Class Teacher, you will be instrumental in helping children make the important transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1. You’ll deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that build confidence, curiosity, and strong foundational skills.

You’ll be part of a supportive year group team and work closely with your parallel class teacher and teaching assistant to plan, assess, and differentiate effectively for all learners.

What the School is Looking For

The ideal candidate will be:

- A qualified teacher with QTS (applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers are welcomed)

- Confident in teaching Key Stage 1, with a strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and the importance of early literacy and numeracy

- Knowledgeable in phonics (e.g., Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds or similar schemes)

- A proactive and reflective practitioner, with a commitment to personal and professional development

- Strong in behaviour management and classroom organisation, with the ability to create a positive and structured learning environment

- Skilled at building effective relationships with pupils, staff, and families

What the School Offers

- A friendly, inclusive school community with a strong sense of purpose

- Enthusiastic, well-behaved children who love learning

- A collaborative staff team with shared planning and mutual support

- High-quality CPD and ongoing opportunities for career progression

- A focus on teacher wellbeing, with a healthy work-life balance actively promoted

- Supportive and experienced leadership who value every team member
