Johnson Matthey invites graduates to join the JM LEAD Graduate program, a 2.5-year rotation across Science, Commercial and Operations, designed to develop future leaders in a world leader in platinum group metals.

You'll tackle real projects, build leadership, collaborate with global teams, and apply engineering or chemistry knowledge to improve performance and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Environmental Science or related field with 2:1 or better.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with practical application.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in leadership development.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building, collaborative approach.
• Willingness to travel across JM locations.
• Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.

Responsabilités

At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As a JM LEAD Graduate, you’ll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life-saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.

The role:

• Completing three rotational placements over 2.5 years across key business areas including Science, Commercial and Operations.
• Leading and supporting business-critical projects that improve performance, sustainability, growth and operational excellence.
• Collaborating with colleagues across global teams to deliver solutions and build broad business understanding.
• Applying technical and analytical skills to solve complex challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Building leadership capability through structured development and exposure to senior stakeholders.
• Contributing to projects that create value through innovation, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

• Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Environmental Science or a related discipline, with a minimum 2:1 classification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply technical knowledge in practical settings.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and a genuine interest in developing as a future leader.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a collaborative approach.
• Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity and take ownership of deliverables.
• Geographic flexibility and willingness to travel or undertake assignments across JM locations.
