Responsibilities of the Conflicts Analyst:

  1. Validate and vet information on the Conflicts Request Form using search engines and other resources; liaise with fee earners for clarification as needed.
  2. Analyze and interpret complex search results from the firm’s conflict systems and other sources to identify potential conflicts of interest.
  3. Communicate clearly with fee earners to highlight or identify conflicts of interest related to new matters and clients across all practice areas.
  4. Escalate complex conflict situations to the Conflicts Manager.
  5. Conduct additional research using internal and external resources as necessary.
  6. Assist in setting up and maintaining information barriers using Security Policy Manager.
  7. Stay informed about legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the Risk & Compliance Team.
  8. Support ongoing education within the firm regarding conflicts processes and policies.
  9. Provide assistance and cover for the Conflicts Manager and other team members as needed.
  10. Handle ad-hoc requests and projects related to New Business Intake and conflicts processes.
