One of our Public sector clients is looking for a talented BI Developer to join their Digital & Data team. You’ll help transform how they use data across the council – developing dashboards, reports, and data models that drive smarter decisions and better services for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to support council services and strategic decision-making.
• Work closely with service areas to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
• Build and maintain robust data models using BI tools, specifically Power BI
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data governance standards.
• Collaborate with analysts, data officers, and IT colleagues across the council to support data-led transformation.

Essential experience & skills:

• Experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau
• Strong analytical skills and a passion for using data to drive change.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with local government.
• Knowledge of data protection and information governance principles.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Azure, Power Platform).
