We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Neuro Physiotherapist to join our team at Barts NHS Trust in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work with neurological patients, providing high-quality care and support. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive physiotherapy services, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
What will your responsibilities be:
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, interventions, and discharge planning for patients with neurological conditions. You will likely work on various wards, including acute stroke, outlier wards, and the Emergency Department (ED), requiring confidence and competence to work independently. You will collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Therapists, understanding the importance and value of working within a multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, monitoring and documenting patient progress, and adjusting treatments as necessary. You will educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process and strategies for managing their conditions. You will participate in the development of service protocols and clinical audits to ensure the highest standards of care. Furthermore, you will provide training and support to junior staff and students, and engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in neuro physiotherapy.
