Job description

MCA Architects currently have two vacancies in our busy Farnham office:

  • Either an architect, technician, technologist or experienced architectural assistant to take a lead role in the running of projectsand,
  • A part 1 architectural assistant.

The job runner role requirements are:

  • Experience leading anddelivering bespoke residential projects from Work Stage 4 onwards
  • Able to produce detailed technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations
  • Comfortable liaising with clients, consultants and contractors. Should have good personal skills
  • Operate independently, as part of a team or able to manage junior staff members
  • Undertake site visits and oversee contract administration duties
  • Previous residential experience required
  • Opento assisting colleagues on other projects and work stages as and when required

The part 1 architectural assistant role duties will include:

  • Preparation of design/planning and construction drawings
  • Other related tasks to assist colleagues
  • Liaising with clients and external consultants
  • Preparation of planning applications

We are a small/medium sized chartered practice with three offices across the south east. You would be based fulltime in our busy central Farnham office which is next to the railway station with regular trains to Waterloo. We also have private onsite parking with EV charging point.

The successful applicants should:

  • be proficient with AutoCAD but also have manual drafting skills and 3D capability
  • have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • be motivated, pro-active, organised, questioning and able to take initiative
  • have an excellent academic record
  • be capable of multi-tasking jobs and working within a team to meet deadlines.
