Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in London is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform a variety of laboratory procedures and operate analytical instruments, applying scientific principles to produce accurate test results that aid patient diagnosis and treatment.

This role requires an Associate degree in clinical Lab Science, Medical Lab Technician Certification, and prior Point of Care experience, with a strong commitment to teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in clinical Lab Science
• Medical Lab Technician Certification
• Experience: Previous Point of Care experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of laboratory procedures and operates laboratory instruments with accuracy.

Position Summary

Performs a variety of laboratory procedures, many of which are complex, involvingnumeroussteps and techniques,operatesvarious laboratory instruments, and may berequiredto use independent judgment. Application of the principles, theories and techniques of medical technology arerequiredto produce test results, which aid the physician in diagnosis and treatment.Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements

Education:Associates degree in clinicalLab Science

Licensure:Medical LabTechnician Certification

Experience: Previous Point of Care experience is required.
