A leading defence contractor in Bristol seeks a systems engineer to work on the DragonFire programme, focusing on developing advanced laser-directed systems. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, collaboration with stakeholders, and support for design assurance. MBDA offers flexible working arrangements with Dynamic Working policies that provide great levels of flexibility around hours and location. Thus far, the DragonFire programme has focused on developing the UKs first Laser Directed Energy Weapon (LDEW) concept demonstrator, achieving significant success with several high-profile trials. MBDA is seeking flexible and motivated candidates to continue developing DragonFire into a world-class, deployable LDEW air defence system. The plans involve parallel streams of groundbreaking technology, experimentation and rapid weapon system development across key weapon system domains of Systems Engineering: requirements, design, performance analysis and certification.
