A leading organization seeks a Job Coach in Hillingdon to support SEND students in skill acquisition and employment development. This full-time, term-time position involves collaborating with local businesses to ensure suitable employment opportunities. Job Coach
Location: Hillingdon
This is a full-time (37 hours per week), in-term-time-only, 12-month fixed-term contract.
Job Purpose
The Job Coach will work with students to identify their strengths, interests, and abilities related to skill acquisition, job development, and employment. They will use job coaching techniques to support students' development towards employability.
The role involves seeking appropriate employment aligned with the students’ interests and skills, working with local businesses and industries to meet their employment needs, and referring young people to suitable support services as needed.
The Job Coach will deliver tailored information and guidance to SEND young people participating in an internship programme within Hillingdon, providing mentoring, in-work assistance, advocacy, and maintaining accurate, confidential records in compliance with contractual and quality standards.
The role requires proactive monitoring of progress through various communication channels (social media, email, SMS) and recording interactions within the management information system. Building strong relationships with internal and external professionals, adhering to safeguarding policies, and completing mandatory training are essential.
The Job Coach may work at various locations including community venues and employers’ premises, with occasional travel within the region. A full driving license and access to a vehicle are required, and working outside normal hours may be necessary.

Salary & Benefits
Salary: £27,929 per annum pro-rata (including London weighting allowance)
